You see the girl 4th from the left at the back (with the stripey shirt)? That's Antonia Georgopulosz - she was our appointed guide and translator for the weekend back then. She actually replaced a friend, who had been "assigned" to us, when that friend fell ill just before the Atomiade. At the end of the weekend, Antonia and I exchanged addresses, just as friends - she asked if we could keep in touch so that she could practise her English in letters etc. We met again 3 years later when I was visiting the KFKI in Budapest to give a seminar on my work in Lausanne. We married in June 1996 and have a ten-year-old daughter! Quite nostalgic for me seeing that photo.

Information provided by Richard Pitts (Jan 2007). That photo was taken during a visit to the castle area of Obuda during the Budapest Atomiade, June 1991.
